    NEET Full Form: National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test

    NEET Full Form is National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, and it is a national level entrance exam conducted National Test Agency (NTA) for those students who want to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) in government or private medical colleges and dental colleges in India. Before 2019 CBSE used to conduct this exam, in 2013 NEET replace the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges. All the institutes in India which offer MBBS course accept NEET score except All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) because these two are outside the NEET’s purview with their entrance exam.

    NEET Eligibility Criteria

    • The student must be Indian or, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Persons with Indian Origin (PIO), or Foreign Nationals
    • The student must at least 17 years old
    • The student must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in class 12 th

    NEET Exam Pattern

    • Pen and paper-based exam
    • 3 hours given to the students to complete the exam
    • The exam comprises of 180 question
    • All questions are Objective
    • There is a negative marking for the Wrong Answer

    NEET Exam Syllabus

    The Question paper is divided into 3 sections Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and it comprises all the concepts taught in standards 11 and 12 in the Indian School system.
